Since 1966, we have been synonymous with functional, tested add-on parts and special conversions for off-road and special-purpose vehicles. With 5,000 partners in a Europe-wide dealer network and our own direct online shop, we offer over 700 products developed in-house and TÜV-tested, as well as a range of international premium off-road brands. Our development department creates solutions that adapt international products to European vehicles and create functionally optimized upgrades for adventure, work, and deployment—from overlanders to firefighting equipment. In our workshops in Kulmbach and Anthering (AT), we assemble, combine, and integrate add-on parts to fit every vehicle perfectly—right up to TÜV approval. As a listed supplier to leading manufacturers and with comprehensive spare parts and service support, we guarantee quality and reliability.

History 

Taubenreuther began in Kulmbach in 1966, when Bernd Taubenreuther Sr. and his brother Dieter founded a construction and agricultural machinery business – with a vision and foresight that extended beyond the Atlantic. He expanded the range early on to include snowmobiles, special vehicles, and WARN winches from the USA, for which Taubenreuther later became known throughout Europe for their import and distribution. 

After the sudden death of company founder Bernd Taubenreuther, his wife Gisela successfully continued to run the company together with their sons Peter and Axel. Inspired by their parents' travels to the USA and Scandinavia, the brothers brought fresh ideas and technical innovation to the company. In the 1980s and 1990s, they established the ARB brand in Europe, developed their own mounting kits, and co-founded the 4×4 scene. 

Just as the company had stabilized again after difficult years, a fire marked a dramatic turning point: in 1991, the company burned down completely. Everything seemed lost. But suppliers, partners, and friends stood loyally by the family's side and helped with energy, loans, and trust to rebuild. This is impressive proof that at Taubenreutherb, you are not just a business partner, but part of a large family. 

Today, they not only stand for over 700 proprietary products with over a thousand individual expert opinions, but also for six decades of pioneering work. More than a company—an institution in the off-road and special vehicle sector in Central Europe—with its eyes on the world, open to innovation and technology that works—worldwide.
