Redarc - Over 45 Years of Innovation in Electronics
REDARC, based in South Australia, has stood for innovative electronics that perform reliably even under extreme conditions for over 45 years. Founded in 1979 by Robin (Bob) Mackie, the company began with vehicle ignition systems and voltage converters in a small workshop in Lonsdale—with just eight employees. REDARC laid the foundations for high-quality, durable electronic solutions for vehicles and industry at an early stage.
In 1997, Anthony and Michele Kittel, together with Michele’s
parents, took over the company. Under their leadership, REDARC
evolved from a small local business into a globally recognized
manufacturer of electronic systems designed to withstand adventure,
industrial use, and extreme environments.
In 2015, REDARC
expanded its portfolio through the acquisition of Hummingbird
Electronics, now known as REDARC Mining & Industrial. This
significantly strengthened the company’s capabilities in sensing
technology, measurement and monitoring systems, and custom electronic
solutions. In 2019, the launch of REDARC Defence & Space marked
another major milestone, with a focus on products for the defense and
aerospace industries.
Today, the REDARC Group employs more than
350 people across Australia, New Zealand, North America, and Europe.

REDARC
offers a comprehensive range of electronic and energy management
