Winter repeatedly presents us with challenges: masses of snow on paths and roads often make areas difficult or even nearly impassable. With powerful and robust machines and tools, you can tackle the white menace. Sno-Way snow plows support you in this task, helping you and those around you get through the winter safely.
SNO-WAY Snow Plows
Sno-Way snow plows are systems that are mounted to your vehicle. This is done using a special mounting kit, which the company Taubenreuther develops in-house for many European vehicle models and into which the actual plow is later attached. Accordingly, initial installation requires a professional workshop with sufficient experience to ensure everything is securely fitted. After that, you can attach and detach the plow yourself as needed during the season. The system features a two-point mounting system as well as an electrical connection.
Thanks to the hydraulic system, installation can be carried out by a single person. The lifting hydraulics first activate the plow’s support stand. You then align the hydraulics using the remote control, after which the vehicle carefully drives into the standing plow. The locking pins are then secured before connecting the power supply. Once all functions have been checked, the support stand is folded in manually. To remove the plow, simply follow the process in reverse order.
The control electronics operate using the so-called “Energy Interruption System” (EIS). Since, after the initial installation, the system is simply connected via plugs, errors are virtually eliminated. The self-contained system is optimally protected from weather and road salt, resulting in low maintenance requirements.
The Sno-Way plow blades consist of a steel frame with polycarbonate, which is extremely strong and impact-resistant and whose use was initiated by us. Compared to those made of pure steel, these snow blades are therefore less susceptible to rust and up to 25 percent lighter. A plastic cutting edge is fitted as standard, though a steel version is also available.
Snoway Spreaders
- Winter service does not end after snow clearing. To prevent accidents, it is essential to avoid icy surfaces. For this purpose, Sno-Way spreaders are used. They are divided into two groups: hopper-mounted (bed-mounted) spreaders and compact spreaders.
- Sno-Way top-mounted spreaders are suitable for vans, small trucks and pick-ups. They are positioned low on the loading area of the vehicle so that they do not obstruct the view to the rear. This avoids restricting maneuverability. The system consists of a plastic spreader hopper mounted on a stainless steel frame, an auger conveyor, a vibrator kit and the spreader plate. The auger transports the spreading material from the hopper to the spreading plate and can be controlled separately from the latter. Both have their own 12 V electric motor. The mounted spreaders behave similarly, but are attached to the rear of the vehicle.
- Sno-Way compact spreaders, on the other hand, are smaller versions. Weighing only 45 kilograms, they are suitable for small vehicles. Their compact design ensures unrestricted visibility as well. Because they are mounted low, filling them with up to 100 liters of spreading material is no problem. For safe operation, the units are equipped with an emergency stop switch and a safety guard. To protect the technology, the motor and drive are installed separately from the hopper.

- At Taubenreuther, we are convinced of the quality of Sno-Way winter service vehicles. For this reason, we have been importing them for nearly 30 years and also invest in further development, particularly in TÜV parts approvals. These are required for the mounting kits developed by us in Germany, which are necessary to install the attachments on German vehicles.
Special Features of the Sno-Way Systems
- The American company manufactures entirely in the USA using state-of-the-art production methods. Its goal is to achieve maximum stability and durability. It also focuses on ease of operation, allowing the systems to be controlled by a single person. This is supported by the practical remote control, which can operate every component. With current technology, this is achieved effortlessly.
- For this purpose, the systems feature, among other things, a special hydraulic system: the Sno-Way electro-hydraulics, designed specifically for snow plows. It is lightweight and compact, and it pivots 30 degrees to the left and right. In addition, there is a wide range of accessories such as headlights, indicators, LED position lights, and guide poles. Another important feature is the level control, which is integrated into the hydraulics as standard. The Sno-Way plow blade adapts to the ground inclination, even when the vehicle is on a slope. This is a development supported by Taubenreuther.
- The second major advantage of Sno-Way snow plows is the patented Down-Pressure System (DP system). This means the hydraulic system is double-acting: it automatically tilts the blade and, when required, applies additional pressure to it. This has several positive effects:
